We are excited to offer an AP Chinese course that's student centered and prepares students to demonstrate their level of Chinese proficiency across three communicative modes (interpersonal, interpretive and presentational), four language skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing), and the five Cs (communication, cultures, connections, comparisons and communities).
We are excited to offer an AP Chinese course that's student centered and prepares students to demonstrate their level of Chinese proficiency across three communicative modes (interpersonal, interpretive and presentational), four language skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing), and the five C's (communication, cultures, connections, comparisons and communities).
The course starts on Saturday, October 1st, and the last class will meet on May 5th, 2012. The goal of the course is to prepare students for the May AP Chinese exam, which upon successful completion will give students credits towards their foreign language requirements in college. This AP Chinese course may be transferable to your child's high school language requirements; however, you will need to check with your child's high school directly.
The course is a significant time commitment but a great opportunity for CAIS graduates to continue their Chinese and prepare them for the AP exam, and of course, we are excited to welcome back our former students.
We look forward to seeing your children in class. If you have any questions about the course, its contents or the AP exam, please contact us.
