Putting the "Fun" in Fundraising

The CAIS community holds a number of events during the school year to raise funds. The good times we enjoy working and playing together bring us closer and strengthen our community as we help to support our school.

ShowCAIS 2009: Revelry in the Pear Garden

The 27th Annual ShowCAIS was held on Saturday, May 2nd, at the InterContinental Hotel in San Francisco. Revelry in the Pear Garden was this year’s theme. The festivities included a cocktail reception, dinner, live auction and entertainment by Velocity Circus.

With the dedication of this year's ShowCAIS Co-Chairs, Denise Collier, Jackie Holen and Tricia Tong, our ShowCAIS committee members and the generosity of the CAIS community, the auction and gala raised more than $200,000 for CAIS! This year's fund-a-need, which focused on tuition assistance, brought in more than $85,000 the night of the event.

The evening was a fabulous opportunity to celebrate and reconnect with all those who have continued to support CAIS as a leader in bilingual and bicultural education. Thank you again to all of you who volunteered, attended and donated to the event to help keep the CAIS community strong.
