Firedragon Athletics Alumni legends and current Lick Tigers Spencer G. ’19 and Mackenzie G. ’20 dropped in on the CAIS cross country practice to share their perspective on Middle School Athletics and the transition to competing at an elite high school level. From proper warm up routines, race day rituals, nutrition tips and on course tactics, our current team was given a master class on how to succeed in cross country. In Spencer’s words, “A coach will always tell you to run faster, but sometimes it’s just better to talk runner to runner.”
