The heart of the 888 Campus is an 1,800 square foot hub that houses the middle school’s print, media and digital collections and supports library research, presentations, class gatherings and breakout groups for project work.

The mission of The Carroll Family Learning Center and the Learning Center Coordinator is to foster development of research and information literacy skills and an independent love of reading and student-centered learning.  In addition to providing space for class visits to integrate research and allow students to come in to independently pursue reading and study, this multipurpose space has already hosted everything from a campaign donor reception to a facepainting station at the grand opening carnival to the CAIS 101 admission information session. Its flexible furnishings and configuration support a host of functions, all ably overseen by the Learning Center Coordinator.
