Neither Wind Nor Rain Could Keep Them Away!

December 16, 2016

Mr. Williamson caught up with alumni at Cookies and CocoaLike the recipe for hot cocoa, the reunion format was simple. Bring ingredients (or people) together in a warm spot and enjoy!

Braving the torrential rain, more than 60 alumni, alumni parents, and current and former CAIS teachers gathered at the 888 Campus for reunion. The Carroll Family Learning Center was abuzz as graduates from the classes of 2011-2016 caught up over cookies and cocoa, filling in their “old” teachers on life at their new schools. Some high school seniors shared the excitement of early acceptance to college and returning college students shared details of life on the other side of that process! Head of School Jeff Bissell led a merry band of attendees on a tour of the new campus. The highlights of the night were the shrieks of joy upon alumni sighting one another or teachers followed by hugs even warmer than the piping hot cocoa!

Congratulations to Caitlin Farmer ’14 on winning the Alumni Survey Raffle. She will be receiving a fleece vest from Lands’ End emblazoned with the CAIS logo!

Congratulations also to Bakari Smith ’11, who won the Amazon gift card prize in the drawing among alumni who have listed Chinese American International School in their LinkedIn profiles. We’ll hold another LinkedIn prize drawing in the spring, so be sure to send a screenshot of your LinkedIn profile (proudly displaying your CAIS connection) to Hannah Bloom in the Advancement Office.
