Shining a Light on Cool Critters and Science
Second graders participated in the Aquarium of the Bay’s mobile program, Our Future’s So Bright, and learned about the science of climate change and ways to take care of our planet. Students observed how humans have affected the balance of natural cycles on Earth, and then they got to meet and pet Martin the California Kingsnake, a reptile that could be affected by a warmer planet. Students explored through play with solar-powered toys both outside and indoors using UV lights, learning how new innovations give us all the opportunity to return balance to our environment.
