Daniel Bednarczyk from Slide Ranch (site of our sixth grade outdoor ed last fall) shared an update on our story from the January 2022 Middle School Update on the Black Lives Matter signs that our students created for them. “The good news is that after your visit our BLM sign stayed up for a record amount of time! The bad news is that it has finally been torn off. Fortunately, we have an abundance of backups thanks to your school! Our first one is up right now. I hope they keep breaking the record.”

In May, we recognize and celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage to honor and uplift the many important contributions of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders who are essential to the US and San Francisco’s history, present, and future.

When it comes to the celebration of Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, we provide opportunities to discuss and acknowledge the many kinds of families in our communities and the many caregivers who are in children’s lives.
