19th Avenue

The Long & Short (& Medium) of It! (Part 3 of 3)

Head of School Jeff Bissell with Campus Countdown Sign Marking 6 Months to Start of School at 19th Avenue

In the Long Term — Strategy

Our current strategic vision, “Reimagining CAIS” was intended to extend to 2025. We experienced some zigs and zags with the pandemic, but we have moved the needle on all of our initiatives, the most obvious of which has been the 19th Avenue campus project. The opening of the school at 19th Avenue on September 3 will represent a huge strategic achievement. It also signals that it is time to think strategically about what we want CAIS to become in the next five, ten, or twenty years. There are many questions that we need to consider as a community about where we want to put our resources: Facilities? Program? Teacher compensation? Adjusted Tuition? Before I can promise anything about long-term plans, it will be vital that we undergo an inclusive strategic visioning process in which we weigh the trade-offs associated with different priorities. Look for this conversation to begin during the 2024-2025 school year.
