Tongue Twisters to Understand the Four Tones

In our first few weeks of Mandarin WLP class, the students began by exploring the four tones in Mandarin through fun body movements and tongue twisters. The tones are critical to building a good foundation for proper Chinese pronunciation. Through various activities, students learned ways to greet, do self introduction, and practice having basic conversations with each other. When we learned about numbers, our classroom became a singing and dancing studio where students practiced counting with their own rhythm and movements. Students are enthusiastic and creative. The class had a great time learning from each other while practicing Chinese.
