Sixth Grade Outdoor Ed Trip to Westminster Woods

CAIS’s outdoor education program is closely tied to our school mission. Through experiential learning in an outdoor non-urban setting, students hone their team building skills while learning about themselves, about others and about the world around them. Each grade in middle school experiences a unique outdoor education trip each school year in the fall. These trips focus on environmental science, team building, goal setting and citizenship.

Recently, sixth graders journeyed to Westminster Woods while eighth graders enjoyed a rock climbing leadership excursion to Castle Rock State Park and seventh graders went on a kayaking trip in Tomales Bay.
