Curbside Pick Up

CAIS’s curbside pick up system gives parents the option to pick up their lower or middle school child without having to find a parking spot or search inside the school. There are three times available for this service: 3:15 p.m. (free of charge) or 5:50 p.m. If a student is not registered for any extended day services or enrichment classes, he or she will be brought to Hickory Street for curbside pick up at 3:15 p.m. Only students who are registered for aftercare or enrichment classes will be allowed to stay after school. Families will be charged the daily rate. All rates can be found on the Rates and Fees page.

General Pick Up Procedure

Alice A. Carnes Center (Waller Street Campus)

Students in Preschool Aftercare will be brought to the breeze way at 5:45 to begin pickup. For early pick up, please notify the guard on duty at the gate who you are and the name of the child you are picking up.

Oak Street Campus

Families of Kindergarten–fifth grade students may participate in the curbside pick up service. At the end of each school day, students will be brought directly to Hickory Street for pick up. Students who are registered for extended day or enrichment classes will be brought directly to the extended day classroom. If they are signed up for enrichment class, the student will be picked up by his or her enrichment teacher directly from the extended day room.
